Painting in Purple …

After painting too much yesterday and ending up unhappy with the result, I was determined to stop before it was too late today. I decided to go for something abstract ish and to limit the colours used.

I began with a blue/purple mix to which I then added water, then grey and then black. Contrasting colours we’re green/yellow and red/orange.

This is the result and yes, I am happy with it:

As for what this painting is of, that’s for the observer to decide. It could be trees, it could be clouds – what do you think it could be?
