Bristol at its Best

It’s been a superb start to the summer holiday. The weather has been amazing, it couldn’t have been better. Yesterday we went to the Bristol Harbour Festival. We’ve been going for the past 5 or 6 years and each year it gets bigger and better. Yesterday was no exception, Bristol was buzzing! We walked through Queen Square where there were bands playing and a continental food market. We followed the crowds to the harbour side itself, there were boats and bunting galore. We managed to get over to the M Shed on the far side of the docks. We headed up to the second floor and went out onto the roof terrace. We were treated to an uninterrupted view of the whole of the harbour as it glistened in the sunshine. The harbour festival was the inspiration behind the painting that I did this morning:
