I had a go at a ‘zentangle’ today. I did some research first, to make sure I had a t least a vague idea of what I was supposed to be doing. Zentangles, it seems, can be any kind of repetitive pattern. These patterns look even more effective when they are put together. I was determined to leave some blank space on my paper, I was also adamant that when painting some of the patterns, I would leave some of them white.
As you can see, I failed on both counts:
This was done in my watercolour book, as part of my ‘sketchbook challenge’. Circles were once again the theme. I really enjoyed doing this today.
It looks wonderful! This inspires me to start putting watercolour on some of my own tangles! Thank you!
Thank you for your kind comment, I’m glad you like it. Do you have some of your tangles on your blog? I’ll have to take a look
Not yet. I haven’t put my tangles on my blog. I have other things up there that I’ve created though
Have been out of the loop and haven’t heard of these tangles.Nice clear effects for tangles!
Thanks Philippa – I’d seen them on other blogs and was curious. I did some googling and now have an idea of what they are. Hope all’s well with you.
Thanks Philippa, it was a fun thing to do
